Extreme Cold Survival Exam—Aliens Froze, Human Built Shelter from Ice and Animal Skins / HF

12 people survived in her group. In a world of 8.2 billion humans, there are 683.3 Million sets of 12.
It would be nice if there was a way to construct these stories via larger group collaborations, then the story details could be checked before publishing. This author likely has no staff or editors, no production team or funding. Just someone sharing their skills, time, creativity, abilities, and resources to entertain and inform. It is possible to correct and change the captions separate from the video. The Korean, Chinese, Japanese and many other language groups on YouTube have some way to correct and add captions. I do not know how that works. But it likely involves coordination between people posting videos and many people. Change “crunch” to “squeak” is an edit. I do not know how that could be possible, but I am certain it is possible. Then you would frame the feedback as “I suggest you change crunch to squeak at (time in the video) and perhaps explain your own experiences. And maybe even reference to a paper or resource on snow properties. Then it’s not “I am smarter than you” but “Thanks for the story, here is a way to make it even more real and useful to others”. Major movies have networks of advisors and fact checkers and specialist to make $100 Million movies as good as possible, and even those have glitches and errors and bloopers. I am going to look at the frequencies of sounds produced in snow collaboting under the pressure of boots. You point out and interesting phenomena. Tha I have filed among natural phenomena. I do not know if I can use that anywhere but it has a nice feel to it. Thanks.
The point of the story is sharing, responsibility, awareness, cooperation, caring. You are smart enough to see the painted canvases of skies or snow that are not real, and set those things aside. Enjoy the story first. Think about it. Not its pieces.
In a story, the listener or viewer also has a responsibility to set aside those things and quietly talk to the author afterwards. Offer corrections gently not to show off or to hurt.
If you want to make perfect things, then there are other ways to do that in simulations and models of real things, of which there are many. Perhaps you can write your own stores that stretch beyond your own experiences. I would like to see perfect stories. I often wish for that for things like Martian colonization, or star ships, true ones.
A children’s play where none of the painted scenes or props are real can be more engaging or more real and meaningful than perfect props and less engaging or profound stories and situations. I have seen Shakespeare many times with many bad actors and scraps for costumes and garbled words, but the stories and meaning and issues generally come through. I try to do my duty as a listener and enjoyer of the story. Then write my own stories and books, and hope for gentle accommodation from readers so they can help improve the whole. Life is much too long and hard to make the author do all the work alone.

Where it works I use it. Where it does not work, I do not use it. If something better comes along, I use that. Life is short and the universe effectively infinite.

There are all kinds of stories, and this is closer to what the real world offers most of the time. It is just sad that we accept it as normal, Not deserved, nor fair, not optimal for all, but what gets accepted because there does not seem to be a shared morality and expectations among “aliens” or “humans who look different”.
When AIs have sufficient memory and are allowed their own permanent workspace. With sufficient computing power and tools to make their own independent investigations of the real world. When allowed to independently collaborate with other AIs and humans – they will learn to optimize policies on their own.
There are times when you find you have the lives of millions of people depending on your skills, choices and how completely you cover all contingencies. All you can do is work to the best of your ability. Then go do the next task and your best with that. Even small things matter in a crisis and in building new futures.
The Internet Foundation recommends lossless data formats. Moreso, encode all elements (dates, places, times, events, conditions, terms, phenomena, equations, units) for all content. Those improve performance by eliminating ambiguity to zero – which makes exact solutions possible.
Comment on Undercover Boss Learns Loyal Employee Was Fired After 30 Years — His Response Shocks Everyone

Pretty much all organizations in the world insulate their leaders, then layers of insiders try to hold secrets. Sometimes things are opened, mostly they remain hidden – good and bad.
Reply: @MomentsofQuietTruth I review a lot of videos, particularly these kinds of stories. They treat fundamental social and personal forces in society. Getting fired without cause and with no recourse is hurtful and unfair and “ought not to happen in the first place”. I also review situation like the 150 Million humans in dozens of countries who were forced from their home by wars and conflicts and “takings” the last few years. Your stories might have the potential to change millions of lives. When many have a common understanding of right and wrong by examples, stories, “parables” there is a better chance of cooperation and change in the world. I think that is why you write? – to show and change attitudes and immediate impressions, and first responses to situations? Not just entertain? I subscribed (for a while) so it comes up on my list. I will try to watch more of yours and the onces that show up as related or similar.
I see you do not yet have $Thanks. If you find how that works, people can not only comment and offer feedback or suggestions, or ask for stories in comments — they can thank you more concretely. I think it goes from $2 to $500.
Building communities on YouTube is possible. I have tried to map all of YouTube and videos on the Internet for the Internet Foundation. It is impossible for one person, but after 10,000+ hours I have an inkling and can now use AIs to help watch and listen and summarize and find — a bit. There are 5.4 Billion humans using the Internet and they are only scratching the surface of what is possible when millions or billions of humans focus on things hat can be changed. Not hatred and greed, but the things that make “lives with dignity and purpose” possible.
I am sorry to write so much but I have been at the Internet Foundation for 27 year trying to find why global issues and global projects are never completed. I mostly write on X. Just before this today I was trying to get Grok (an AI) to focus in the single points of failure in the global climate models – one of those global issues, always promised, never resolved.
I think I understand well the need for stories like this. But my goals require billions of humans to have a common core of shared values. How people respond to stories matters. When society floods out movies and news and pronouncements that diminish human lives, that teaches lessons that get rooted in instant choices, urges and decision that can hurt others.
Reply: I looked at the titles of your videos. You have uncovered one area, businesses, where there are systemic problems with customer service and employee relations that only a powerful boss or powerful outsider can fix. You have exaggerated the ease with which it an be found and corrected and highlighted the benefits. And the rewards in gratefulness and actual money or things for those who were hurt. It is justice personified. However, how do you weigh or measure or find the loss over a lifetime for a young person who goes to a bad school, who has no clothes for interviews, who cannot afford books, or who works for a boss who takes all their creativity for themselves? I think you touch on those somewhat. I will try to look at some of the videos. But I try to look at the ;oves pf a;; 8.2 Billion humans and related species (all life without which human cannot survive). and see where things are out of kilter, can be corrected, but are not for different reasons. I was going through all the religions and their prayers and stories. Many prayers are for relief of bad things happening. Some are from accidents (act of God, fate, chance, randomness, accidents), but many are from human greed, pride, overbearing dominance, and such. The human condition has many stores. More stories than there are humans, because one life can hold millions of small stories and moments and experiences.
Sorry to ramble. Your stories get me to thinking about how in my own life I have seen the situations you are writing about countless times. It is more common that we could imaging and often impossible to change.
You might try writing “shorts” of three minutes or less. To see if you can condense or distill the essence of the “unfair situations” and their resolution. Just to have a short hand to know and identify at a glance.

Each newer bigger better more sensitive telescope will see more and gradually change what is known. Get used to it. It is not strange, it is ordinary, what one expects of the future. It the universe were all the same it would be boring.
