What seems impossible often only needs a different viewpoint

Thanks for the story. Most of what you described is still fiction, but the consequences of heliospheric scale open sharing are NOT fiction.
Potential ( 2.99792458E8 meters/second)^2 = 8.98755179E16 (Joules/Kilogram) seems impossible.
But, the vacuum is non-linear as one approaches the speed of light and gravity. I grew up with everyone laughing at the fools who said it was impossible to break the sound barrier. But, then we used the nonlinear (compressible) fluid equations for real gases, understood what we were facing, and just did it. We also created new engines and technologies and materials no one had before. So “the impossible” became routine and “off-the-shelf”.
Sincere regards,

Power (Joules/Second) = Potential (Joules/Kilogram) * MassFlow(Kilograms/Second) * EfficiencyFactor
(v/c)^2 is “velocity potential”, GM/R is “gravitational potentials” and there are many other ways to create potentials as needed.

The variations have sources and those sources have constraints and patterns. If a few frequencies are combined they will look completely impossible, but it is just a handful of numbers. Ultimately the resolution, frame rate and range of intensities in the recording contain all the information he had, and if there is a solution, it has to match those. Many hidden models can find an answer but the raw data is a good place to look first. What does the data say? Or is it better to ask then What models do I see? Machine vision algorithms can find patterns and the human brain can if the human is quiet and listens to the data. A simple statistical model from the data that uses all the data is going to be a good place to look, not many fragmented and partial models that seek to force boundaries and parameters and limitations.
