I think I would try adding vibration to help it compress faster and more. Record those compression sounds and use (FFT and counts) machine learning to optimize. And I would try cactus, hemp, bark of different trees, spiny trees, vines. Mixtures with kelp, clay and glass fiber. A wonderful starting point (a press) to make new strong things. For still stronger things compress with lasers and acoustics, ion beams. Not to heat but to compress. I am sure it can be separated.

How I wish I had infinite time. Even another few decades would be nice.
