A digital version can be better than the real thing

Jon Barron @jon_barron  Love this idea, here’s my pitch. https://pic.twitter.com/4Y2hgpnSQ0 x.com/sporadicalia/s…

look, all i’m saying is that SF and the Bay Area would be so much cooler if someone built a Statue of Colossus on Alcatraz, with one of these bad boys, SF goes from our #2 city behind NYC, to #1 in America and #1 in the world. guaranteed. https://pic.twitter.com/Spi4iwLnYNhttps://pic.twitter.com/Spi4iwLnYN

It should be easy to put it on the Internet as an accomplished fact. With realistic videos, google maps, a fake foundation, real donations, annual marathons, prizes better than Nobel (pays more), global research, history. For the cost of designing it, “digital twin it for real”.

For the cost of designing a physical statue, “digital twin it for real”. You can put one on Moon and others on Mars. Heliospheric exploration and solar system colonization require global collaborative thinking in precise and testable forms that can then be “printed” for real. Print “modular nuclear power module”. Print “desalination plant”. Print “robotic tree planting of Sahel”. Print “virtual learning for ALL humans, that teach all humans and AIs, not just a few with rich parents”.
