A link going to House.gov is automatically going to a nonprofit site, without explaining relationships and funding
I was checking (“gun violence” site:gov) and a link comes up:
https://iqconnect.house.gov/iqextranet/iqClickTrk.aspx?&cid=IL10BS&crop=0000.0000.0000.0000&report_id=&redirect=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunviolencearchive.org%2F&redir_log=802130211903248
This should stop at House.gov first, so that the relation between House.gov and a non-profit site is clear.
As it is, Internet users cannot easily determine that House.gov is sponsoring that GunViolenceArchive.Org site.
I see no clear statement on that site that is funded or sponsored by House.gov. It looks like spam or indirection.
Clicking that House.gov link takes one directly to an outside ORG.
It is OK if the site clearly shows the sponsor is someone in House.gov. But the proper way is to stop at House.gov, explain who and why, then let people choose to go to an ORG site.
I thought you ought to look closely and set a policy of open-ness and transparency.
