Much of air flight is unnecessary, and stems from too many airline investors chasing easy profits, when transportation is hard work. A hypersonic vehicle can go orbital, or stay atmospheric. I think Elon Musk will try StarShip on global point to point human and freight markets. An &#8220;orbital&#8221; route, might add a few extra hours and bring premium prices, at least until people get bored with that too.
